How do I know if my Meatloaf is fully cooked?
Closed

I have never made my own meatloaf before. Pretty easy, just never bothered to. Now I'm sick of everything that I know how to make and have moved on to new dining adventures.

Stick a fork into the middle of your meatloaf. If the juice coming out is clear than it's cooked.

I generally cook it for the time specified, and then put in an instant thermometer. If it reads 160 and above, it is probably fully cooked.

Generally, if the loaf has pulled slightly away from the sides of the pan, you can be pretty sure it's cooked through.

I also always check the center with a knife ,maybe there is better way to know it but I check with knife because then I can be sure that it is O.K.
