Save your time and your money. The remake was okay and had its moments but, like someone else pointed out, sequels are usually vehicles to capitalize on previous success and more often than not pale in comparison. There are exceptions to this "rule", but GB II is not such an instance.

Well, I find the first movie of most sequels is better than the second.. which goes for Ghostbusters Il.
Although I liked the original first movie, this one here was enjoyable aswell.. and I was quite pleased to see some of the original actors from the first movie. (Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd were my two most favorite from the first)
Review - These supernatural slime fighters goes from successfully killing off the giant puff marshmallow man, defeating the dough boy and saving New York City, to getting sued for property damage, barred from their dream job of busting ghosts and being forced out of the business.
Years later, an ex girlfriend comes to them for help, leading them to illegally excavate a city street.. which gets them their jobs back!*
I personal enjoyed this film.. although it's almost the exact same plot as the first, it did do new creative things with it.
I found it humorous and entertaining, with some scary characters included..
(Vigo the Carpathian was a far more terribly intimidating villain then Gozer)
Even though I believe the first movies are always better, I really did like this sequel to The Ghostbusters!!
I give it 4 out of 5 stars... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
and definitely 2 Thumbs Up!

I gave up about at half time. Very weak film -making, meaningless conversations, bad acting. Who was the target of this movie, I wonder. The characters are not likable, the situations are unused, scenes are without logic. First I thought that it could be a parody, as a remake; but then it seemed, it is not. Just silliness. It was a waste to make it, this is my opinion.

I have not seen Ghostbusters 2 and have absolutely no desire to see it. Too bad, I miss out on the points, but I do truly believe in ghosts and I believe it is NOT something to make a mockery of such as "Ghostbusters"!

While Ghostbusters had a subliminal "adult theme" part 2 was much more tame. Perhaps it was the female cast or perhaps the writers wanted to tone it down a bit. I personally enjoyed part 1 more however, I still thought the movie was worth seeing and enjoyed it.

GhostBusters 1 was more better then the second one . First they had Murray, Aykroyd Weaver, Ramis,Moranis Hudson, great actors and it was so funny . The second was okay with female actors , not has funny . little boring for me.

I was a little skeptical about watching this movie thinking it was going to be awful, but I am so glad I did. I found it hilarious, not gut laughing funny but the stupid funny that you really enjoyed when you were a kid. I loved all the actors in it and how they brought back original characters from the first movie. My favourite was of course Slimer!! He cracks me up in every movie!!

Ghostbusters II was a great movie starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson
and Annie Potts. I love Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd and they were excellent in this movie. The Ghostbusters are being sued for all the damage caused in the first movie and have been banned from investigating the supernatural. Venkman's (Bill Murray) ex-girlfriend Dana (Sigourney Weaver) has had a baby, Oscar, and strange things start to happen with him. She turns to the Ghostbusters for help. Dana's colleague is being controlled by Vigo the Carpathian, a powerful legendary sixteenth-century tyrant and magician trapped in a painting. Vigo needs a baby to possess to come back to life. The Ghostbusters investigate and cause more destruction. They are hauled back to court and during the proceedings the judge is attacked by ghosts and this results in the Ghostbusters being allowed to investigate again. Vigo tries to possess Dana's baby and the Ghostbusters eventually defeat him, saving the day and get a standing ovation and later, a key to the city.
The movie is full of action, drama and comedy. The plot is a little predictable, but it is still an entertaining movie.

Five years after the events that occurred in the first part, the Ghostbusters have been forgotten because ghosts are nonexistent in the city and nobody needs their services. Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore animate children's parties, at the same time that Ray runs a store on supernatural themes. Egon Spengler works in an institute as a researcher. Peter Venkman has a TV show called "The Psychic World" and in this broadcast, a writer states that the world will come to an end on the New Year's Eve of 1989.
Dana Barret (who ended her relationship with Peter and works at the art museum in Manhattan as a restorer) is a divorced mother of a son named Oscar, around which several inexplicable events have taken place. After many investigations the group is reintegrated before the suspicion of new paranormal events and this is confirmed when they discover in the subway of the city a river of reactive psycho slime that embodies the evil of the city.
When they are discovered they are arrested and prosecuted for the destruction of power lines in the city. As a result, the judge ordered the closure of the company and the prohibition to practice their professions, but in the middle of the trial appear the ghosts of the Scolleri brothers (whom the judge had sent to the electric chair) that emerged from a sample of that substance and to see it all the Ghostbusters are authorized to return to exercise their functions, which makes the city happy, except for Jack Hardemeyer, mayor's assistant, who considers the Ghostbusters as a political obstacle.
