Thelma and Louise is a great movie for the age in which it was made. Shows that women can get out and do fun things. It also shows that you are able to get in trouble and things can go terribly wrong. I didn’t like the fact that in the end they finished their lives with a bang

A movie that may have been seen as a bit edgy for it's time, as it did address a lot of sensitive issues like abuse, PTSD, the evolution of the female 'badass' but the message was timeless and that is the bonds that form between women. Yes the ending pissed me off a little bit, but then it's a movie right? Who knows, maybe they hit a soft patch of ground and miraculously survived. I have watched this movie at least a hundred times and always find something new to admire about these two women every time!

One of my favorite chick flicks that I will never get tired of watching. Guys will also enjoy watching it too since it's filled with action. This dramedy not only focuses on the chase to the southern border, but also on the value of female friendships and the inner strength that women possess. Bonus: A shirtless Brad Pitt plays a small role in this movie.

Thelma and Louise is a classic Movie and one of my all time favourites. Even in todays age it is still a relevant film. It is a movie about two women's friendship and how far they will ultimately go for that friendship. It is a tale of a lonely/meek housewife (Geena Davis) and a strong willed/independent waitress (Susan Sarandon). The two women decide to take a break from everyday life with a fishing trip. However, their innocent trip of Fishing becomes a bit flawed and the ladies end of fleeing from the law because at a pit stop at a bar turns a rye when Louise shoots and kills a man at the bar that tries to rape Thelma. Louise decides to flee to Mexico and Thelma decides to join with her. On their way to Mexico they get into some other trouble! They are low on funds and need to borrow money from Jimmy (Louise's boyfriend) As well as rob a few places. On the way, Thelma falls for sexy young thief J.D. (Brad Pitt) who in reality is a con artist and rips the ladies off with the little money they had to get to their Mexico destination. They evade capture for sometime and almost reach their destination until they get noticed and then the chase begins. They ultimately get caught with no where to go (other than surrender or go over the cliff) The sympathetic Detective Slocumb (Harvey Keitel) who is assigned to the ladies cases ultimately tries to convince the two women to surrender before their fates are sealed. But in the end the ladies decide what fate they wanted to have in the end. The held strong and united till the very end, and end up choosing to go down together and taking that last ride over the cliff.
