3rd stop of the Road Trip: New Jersey!
Closed

New Jersey, the state that allows you to be close to New York but also away from the constant traffic. If you enjoy skylines, the Hoboken skyline is not to be missed nor is the famous Carlo's Bakery from the Food Network show Cake Boss! You can visit Thomas Edison's home, you can relax in Asbury Park Boardwalk or have a combination of city and beach at Atlantic City. You decide, would you like to be close to the city skylines or be near a beach? The best responses will get 500 points for answering!

When I was young my uncle would take us to Atlantic City to be near the ocean. I loved every minute of it, especially walking the boardwalk and playing on the beach.
I fondly recall the community getting together to have seafood at the beach where huge cauldrons would boil shellfish and freshly caught fish too. We would stuff our faces and enjoy all of the comradely.
As a teen we returned but it was not the same as the people had become more distant.
As an adult society had changed so dramatically that people were now afraid of strangers.
It definitely seems strange how quickly things change.
Now I love going to the Big Apple for live shows and to people watch.

I have to live near the seacoast and be close to work. New Jersey sounds like another interesting US city with lots of history. I like the video, too. Nice touch with the motorcycle.

The Armpit of America. The Dirty Jerz. The Garden State. The Nation's Scrappiest State. It has it's many nicknames, and got a bit of a bad rap with the wildly popular reality show - Jersey Shore and the antics of the cast members (even though only one was actually from Jersey).
There’s no denying that New Jersey has character but it also has some of the best beaches on the Atlantic Coast which deserve a visit.

I got to say I rather see the beach more then the city skylines. It's been a long winter with long cold nights. Walking on the sand sounds really good. Never been far from home so i am thinking I rather be on the beach now and I do mean now.
