Have you ever thought of donating school supplies?

With back to school around the corner, two organizations are preparing more than 7000 backpack with school supplies. The annual Operation Backpack has already helped to distribute supplies to more than 5,000 children through 15 outlets spread throughout the city.

I never thought of this, but it's a good idea for people in need as the total price of all these items can certainly add up.

None to donate, no kids. We donate old clothing and books when we can though. Reply

I haven't personally other than giving a few items to neighbours on our buy nothing gifting group. I have heard of many of these campaigns and it is a struggle for a lot of parents that I totally understand with trying to prepare 3 children of my own. I really like the idea dccarter51 has mentioned. Reply

Absolutely, our church does a back-to-school tradition. They take for the summer a portion of donations and they make sure every child has a backpack and new shoes. During the summer they take registrations for kids signing up that are in need and then they are delivered Reply
