Halarious movie. Fun for the whole family home alone brings the fun out of the negative parts that could happen during Christmas. This move is a Christmas time favorite. Great acting and great script and the whole cast and crew did an amazing job at putting this movie together I think I would show my kids this movie growing up. There is nothing like watching a movie about a kid that doesn't have it to great go from under dog to bad ass outsmarting super kid. Brilliant movie just brilliant

I remember Home Alone as being an incredibly funny mischievous movie.
The main character has a mind that won't stop thinking of things to do.
As a side commentary, today that same child would be given massive amounts of drugs to make him "more normal".
He gets sent to his room for doing something (whatever) that siblings do and, in the excitement of actually going on a vacation, the parents forget about him the next morning.
As a side note, parents today would be prosecuted for abandoning a child and/or child endangerment for doing this so seeing how the "child" copes with being "endangered" is amusing too.
Some thieves who have figured out how to burgle houses after the occupants go on vacation chooses this house not knowing that the house is not empty.
Kevin demonstrates his genius in devising ways to foil the burglars and the results are hilarious.
A brilliant movie that almost everyone will enjoy with perhaps the exception of those who will be offended by the idea that children CAN often take care of themselves (as we did when I was young).
Enjoy

HOME ALONE
Home alone was a great movie I watched as a kid and still enjoy watching till date, it was all about an eight years old kid called kelvin McCallister, the youngest of five kids who was frequently or rather always being tormented by his older brothers and sisters. He had a fight with his older brother during dinner with did not end well and he was grounded and asked to go to bed as his punishment . He felt misjudged and told his mom he wished he had no family and she warned him to be careful of what he wished for.
When he woke up the next morning he found out he was home alone thinking his wishes came true, whereas his parents forgot him at home on their trip to france(paris) for Christmas, because they had a wrong head count. When they realized they forgot kelvin at home, they made arrangements to return back to the United States all to no avail. Meanwhile a pair of thieves called the "wet bandits" Harry and Marv who were kown to rob and flood travelers home, attempt to burgle their house. Kelvin being the only one at home took it upon himself to deal with them, he used lots of booby traps........he made the knob hot,hot iron, used a blow touch, tar, used nail, used his brothers spider and finally he called the police and they were arrested. Meanwhile his mom after failed attempt to return back joined a group of music band and returned home to Kelvin and shortly thereafter filled by the rest of his family members.

Home Alone was the best What-Not-To-Do-When-Alone kind of movie i enjoyed growing up! Kevin McCallister was a witty kid with a big dysfunctional family, who was forgotten and left behind while the rest of the family went off on a vacation. Sounds great for a kid wanting to get away from some annoying cousins and cheek-pinching Aunts, that was until a couple of thieves case the place after seeing the whole family pack up and leave. Once figured out, the Wet Bandits Marv and Harry, didn't know what they were getting into!! Kevin, being young, with a wild imagination, set up some amazing booby-traps that should scare off a couple of burglars, but not these two!
From getting a hot iron in the face, to a blow torch in the head, to tar and feathered and stepping on a nail.. the Wet Bandits keep coming back.. for sequels!!!
I've always enjoyed the first more than any of the rest, this one was my fav.. (only because i laughed more during this than the others!!)

Elf is one of the funniest most heartwarming Christmas movies of all time it is and classic modern Christmas movie of all time in my opinion. Will Ferrell's role in this classic modern movie is amazing along with all the other cast in this movie. Will Ferrell is hysterical! I especially love the message that this movie gives to our young at heart audience as far as never giving up and you can achieve anything with a little grit and a little perseverance. And it also sends a message how important it is to be with your family and to have family and the true meaning of Christmas. This movie has it all! It will make you laugh, cry and smile. I highly recommend this movie I give it a two thumbs up!!!

Strangely enough, this is my mother's (70+) favourite Christmas movie. Watching this movie, you will have to suspend your common sense notion of body mechanics. The main action scenes have 2 adult burglars being physically attacked via booby traps by a grade school aged child. In the real world, the burglars would likely be maimed, injured or even dead. Think of the movie as a live action cartoon.

"Home Alone" is a movie classic that came out in 1990. Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) was an 8 year old whose parents up and left him home alone. Their vacation turned into a nightmare when they realized "Where's Kevin?" Kevin was in fact at home trying to ward off two burglars using booby traps that he concocted. It's kind of uncertain as to why the burglars would not give up. It seemed to be more of a personal vendetta against Kevin in the end. Ultimately, the kid was successful in preventing these villains from entering his pad, and Mom and Dad got back just in time to see Kevin save the day.

Oh my goodness this movie never gets old. I remember watching this all the time around Christmas and couldn’t believe how such a little boy could make such good tricks. This movie keep you laughing and it’s very heart warming about the goodness of family. It’s wonderful to be able to share the joy of this movie with my children and to hear the laughter. This has become one of our family’s favourites that we enjoy watching all December long. It’s super cute to hear the kids quote the movie as well. But never the less this is a must to have on your Christmas holiday watch list it doesn’t matter if you have watched it 10000 times you’ll watch it 10000 more. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas/holiday.

Home Alone" is a wonderful film that i enjoy watching over and over again while growing up and I could easily relate with some of the experience of been let alone at home all by yourself as a little boy; you want to do some of the things you see your parents or adults around do and you think of so many scary things and a times some of the things you thing of or imagine may happen almost immediately and will make you to be more scared. The title of the movies itself brings some sorts of scary reminiscence. Staying up to watch Johnny, leaking all the ice cream, eating and tasting all the food in the kitchen and having the liberty to sleep on your parents bed is all fun and memorable
