Now , the question is , what will you be buying ?

As tomorrow is Budget day , all eyes will be on Rishi .
As the economy has taken a hammering in the last year , I don't expect him to do anything to really exacerbate the situation.
However , I'm quite sure that he'll increase the tax burden on things that are seen as vices by non-participants . I've made a list of items which will probably be hit , and some suggestions for Rishi ;)
Petrol , booze and ciggies , pretty much guaranteed, I reckon .
Maybe a small increase in v.a.t. and n.h.i. contributions , and possibly a one-off tax for those who profited from the pandemic ?
Now , how about a health boost ? Increase tax on chocolate, cream cakes , junk food , etc . , in order to subsidise the price of fresh fruit and veg ? That could help people to regain their health and fitness this year . What do you think ? Do you have anything to add to the list ?

Perhaps he could tax Psychoprat Hancock’s pub landlord mate, impose hefty penalties on Serco and chums for failing to deliver. Should plug a small hole! Reply

Yes, go after the the tax evaders but of course he won't as most of them are probably members/donaters to the party. Instead expect those who are down to be kicked down a little further as is the Tory way. Reply
