It could be goodbye

I had to reduce my keyboard use because of painful fingers and sadly toluna demands most clicking and dragging as so may surveys want dozens of actions and then dont want me. I can no longer accept this. I have voice controls but they are slow and some surveys on here are timed and i run out of time while the voice app is still thinking or hasnt heard me!
Another site gives me less surveys but most of the are do-able and worth the profile effort with less interactive surveys like virtual shopping, long dragging actions or beat the clock! I dont know if my problem atm is temporary or not but i cant be an active Toluna member right now. Perhaps i will improve and hopefully so will the more demanding and unwieldy type of surveys? I have counted as many as 50 or more clicks in some profile/screening sections. I am fairly sure they dont consider people who use voice controls and a clever survey designer would reduce all the track pad stuff which may have exacerbated arthritis.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Yvonne. I do hope this is a temporary problem and can be alleviated with medical intervention. I wonder if you've tried a trackball rather than a mouse or trackpad? I don't know if it would help but it may be something you haven't considered. Reply

Just be picky in the type of survey you do here, if I see they are going to need a million clicks I just close them. Hope you feel better soon . Reply

So sorry to hear that. I hope you get some good news from the tests or at least find some way to adapt in future. It's not worth causing yourself further pain or frustration just to do the 5 surveys a day we are now limited to. As you've already discovered, you may do better on other sites but I do hope you'll be able to return in future even if just to say 'hi'! Reply

I am so sorry to hear that, hopefully it improves in the future and you can take part in some of the topics, even if surveys are too hard for you to do xxx Reply

Thanks for all the replies. I gave up a mouse for similar reasons. I have X rays and tests soon and will know if the problems are permanent or not. Reply

This is such a shame, there must be a technological solution to your problem. A website called - https://mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk has many suggestions on different aids for arthritis sufferers, I do not know if there is anything featured that would be more comfortable for you to use. Also look at - https://nras.org.uk/. There are many devices that will work with a macbook, as long as they connect via bluetooth, you should be fine. Apologies if you have already seen all this. I hope that you find something to help you and can carry on completing surveys etc. Reply
