Crime scene .. has there been a Murrderr?!

We woke up this morning to what appeared to be a forensic crime scene. My husband had suffered a substantial nose bleed in his sleep. He vaguely recalls having a bout of sneezing and there is clear evidence of such!
The pillow is in the bin and all the bedding in the washing machine. The mattress protector did it’s job and the mattress itself is unscathed. However I am dubious as to whether I’ll be able to get the stains out of the linen.

Pity you don't have any hydrogen peroxide in the house. In America, we always have it in the medicine cabinet. It breaks down the proteins in the blood and virtually removes the whole stain. I wish you luck on that, I really hope that it wasn't a hot wash. Reply

Try Vanish oxi action gel on the bedding if still stained Brucie. Very effective product. Rub the gel into the stained area before washing. Reply

Just soak everything in cold water, preferably for a fairly long time, like overnight. Then wash. Should be no problem. Reply

Lol!!...I feel your pain, my Son used to have horrific nose bleeds during the night, it used to look like a car crash, some mornings! I used to put the bed linen on a cold water rinse first, then a 60 degree hot wash....90 degree, if it was white bedding... it seemed to do the trick! Reply

Spray them with pre-wash stain remover: Vanish or Sainsbury's own equivalent are equally effective. They foam up on encountering blood, and the stains come right out in the wash. Reply
