Prince Philip's funeral

I watched the funeral this afternoon and thought that it was all the more touching by being relatively small scale. At times I almost felt I was intruding on a very intimate and private family occasion. However , I think the TV coverage respected the privacy of the royal family by not honing in on them too much and keeping a broader view of the ceremony.
Did you watch it? What did you think?

I watch it and what a lovely and small funeral. It was sad to see the Queen sitting on her own. Also I was pleased to see Prince Harry at the funeral chatting with his brother Prince William and Princess Katherine.
I watch it because is a man that has done a lot for the Queen and country also the commonwealth. He came as an immigrant to the country and worked his way up to get where he was.
My mum was one of those people who took her lunch break to witness the Queen coronation and I know she will have a little a tear seeing the funeral on TV in the USA on Saturday .

Although my heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Queen I had no wish to see her so sad at this awful time for her.
Neither did I wish to see her treacherous grandson return to the fold to mourn one of the folks who he stabbed in the back.
Nor did I wish to clap eyes on that buffoon Andrew strutting along after he let his mother and the rest of his family down so badly.
In short, no I didn't watch it E.

I'm just glad that Her Majesty didn't have to have the full-blown funereal nightmare. Can you imagine having to face all those political mongrels while you're grieving for the love of your life? It was a beautiful service, I spoke to my mother in the States and she said she cried through most of it. She would. Reply

Don’t care for privileged rich people irrespective of any military conduct/honours/service - it’s one rule for them & another for us.
Plus we all die in the end.
TV had stayed off all day :)
