Chocolate coated bees, novelty import samples for HM Customs & Excise during the mid 1960's. Father brought them home from his office. However gently we sucked them none of the family was able to find anything there resembling a conventional bee, so I think they were well saturated and very thickly coated tiny bees. The chocs were similar in size to Paynes Poppets but more dull, not glossy.

No, certainly not, food like that's for the birds.I remember years ago in Selfridges they were selling insects in chocolate, yuk!
