Do You Lie Awake And Worry About Everything Or Do You Fall Asleep All Night?

This was me for many years. I dealt with anxiety for many years. I was fortunate to find an excellent therapist who helped me work through the anxiety and train myself to relax before falling asleep. Of course, there are still some times when I do lie awake and worry but not to the extent I did many years ago.

YES. Every single time it's time to sleep, my mind wanders like crazy and goes to every possible thought and worry. I have terrible sleep trouble. I'm so glad you were able to train yourself and work through it! I do think I should see someone as well. I have anxiety in general, so it's even worse when bedtime comes around! I cannot for the life of me, just RELAX! I've tried melatonin, cortisol reducers, sleepy teas, CBD....... Reply

Most times I am asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow. Otherwise it is usually hubbys snoring that is causing me to toss and turn and not able to sleep. Reply

My son has had a hard time of it, I worry about him, and I will until the day I die. Good topic! Reply

I've always had a problem falling asleep.. either from stress, anxiety, or just poor habits before bed, I used to lie awake for hours before finally dozing off.
Now though, because I read before bed, i have no problem getting asleep!
My bedtime is an hour earlier than it used to be because during that time while I read, my mind is concentrating on the book and not wandering aimlessly.
