#GratefulFor

I'm grateful for my partner still being here after a serious fall off a porch roof onto concrete back in May.
I'm grateful for the 3 weeks hospital care.
It's been 4 months now since the multiple fractures sustained but I know it can take a year for fractues to heal.
Walking is really slow, one step at a time and only with the aid of a walking stick, bending or stretching is not possible and the pain is still very evident most of the time. Bit no more X-rays are needed.
After a really difficult 4 months of nursing (no I'm not a professional so it's been one day at a time and learning on the job) sometimes 24 hours a day I can say looking back it is getting a little easier.
So, I'm really grateful that my partner is still here !!!!!

It’s not just the bones, all the supporting muscles and ligaments must gain strength too. Enforced inactivity weakens them. Don’t get disheartened as healing can take a long time and one step at a time is great. Reply

That sounds like it has been a long hard journey for you both. I wish you well as you progress and hope the going continues to ease up. Reply
