Oh woe is me!

Have you ever had one of those days where this quote is true?

I know it is only early here in Perth 8.30 am however after taking granddaughter at school and she was dropped off I got a flat tyre. Easy fix with the RAC for which I am grateful.

Now, I am home and what do I find but due to the very heavy rain over the last day and evening both my kitchen and one of the toilets have leaks in the ceilings. We have a tin roof and the house is only 10 years old. Looks like a job for a roof specialist. Hubby has been up on the roof and he cannot find the leak. In actual fact I do not like him going up there. The last time he did this he fell and broke his pelvis and had several fractures.

Yes, my friends not a good day so far and I do hope it doesn't come in 3's.

I hope your day goes well for you.

I hope everything is alright now and hubby doesn't have to go back on the roof. What a terrible day you have had. Poor hubby going on the roof Mr B, I would have panic. Reply

Hopefully the end of the day was better for you. It's such a hassle when all these little things just keep piling up. :(( Reply

Oh dear, I do hope there isn't a third, Leaks are such a pain, we had one in the loungeroom which seemed to be coming from the flashing around the chimney. Hubby had been up there (and I don't like him going up there either Ms B) and put enough sealant around the chimney to seal up a battleship but still it leaked. We got a man in to deal with it but he refused to try saying we would blame him if it didn't work, huh?? So hubby went back up with a different sealant and it seems to have worked all through our pretty wet winter. Good luck with it Ms B and chin up, tomorrow is another day. Reply

Sounds more like not enough overlap in the sheets which is a common way builders save themselves lots of money when they build.
Things get nasty when this happens the son went to a job that was built 3 years ago and when they pulled up the shower recess they found the floow was a bit of cardboard that had had a bit of waterproofing drizzled on it and the base then straight on top of that. Being a Million $ + house they stopped immediately as they didn't want the blame and be forced to fix the mess that they had found.
They where very surprised that anyone using that shower had not gone through the floor into the Kitchen below not sure how the rest of the place was built but that was appalling.

No 3rd B, maybe a box of chocolates at the end of the day for all your good deeds. (you can send some rain over to the East, no storms thanks) Reply

Could that be an insurance enquiry for your roof leakage? Reply
