Do You Take Advantage Of Multi-Save Deals?

Everybody loves a good deal - myself included. I take advantage of them whenever I can.... but are they really fair?

To a senior on a fixed income or an empty nester, the 3 or even sometimes 4 of something you have to buy to get the sale doesn't really seem fair. They don't want or need 3 or 4 boxes of cereal or bottles of salad dressing.

Even for me, with a couple of teenagers in the house that have an endless hunger it seems - some items are just an unreasonable quantity to have to purchase to get the sale price. If they are everyday items or ones used often, I can and will stock pile and store.

I know for my Mum though who is a senior and living on her own, it is difficult to take advantage of these multi-save deals - she doesn't want 3 tubs of yogurt nor would she eat them up quick enough before they expire, so she ends up having to pay full price and ultimately more for groceries in the long run.

Yes, it's unfair. I do it once in awhile, but only if I know we'll eat it. Reply
