Good afternoon all, I have had a look round the market, and a good look round the shops down town.

Despite all the advertising by shops for their Black Friday Sales, there were no bargains to be had. One electrical retailer had actually put up the prices, so that irritated me. The salesman that come to try to pressurise me into a purchase, went off with a flea in his ear, and some advice about trying to pressurise customers. I came back home with nothing from the sales, but I did check out The Food Warehouse, and Home Bargains. I was only looking comparing prices before I set up my Christmas shopping list. It looks like both stores will have my custom when I decide to buy ready for Christmas, in both stores brand names are cheaper than the supermarkets. Iceland Owns The Food Warehouse, so it is a good bet for getting reasonable prices.

Have you shopped with the Food Warehouse at all, if you have how did you find its prices ?

Hello Chris. We have never heard of the Food Warehouse, but buy a few things each week from Iceland which is very close to where we live. And, as far as Black Friday is concerned, my wife had her booster jab today, so let’s hope it turns out to be a real bargain ! Reply

According to Which!, most of the bargains offered in these sales were on sale at lower prices before the sales. I also believe this to be true and have for years from personal observation which is why I only shop in sales if I need an item and know it's previous cost. Reply
