Wouldn't be surprised if they all knew more than they are letting on. China hasn't disproved anything as far as I can see.

I don't even think it matters yet to be honest .If we ever manage to put it behind us then I believe huge efforts will be made to unearth it's origins. I am not sure this team announcing it's origins now is the best thing for the world in case it is the worst case scenario.

China have most certainly NOT "strongly disproved" the lab leak theory! They have strongly rejected it, denied it, refuted it; but they have not disproved it - because they destroyed every single piece of evidence that would have shown what happened in the Wuhan Viral Institute. Virologists who have defected from China have reported (now they're safely in the West, and can do so without fear of persecution, imprisonment or worse) that, very early on in the pandemic, Chinese government intelligence operatives were removing and/or destroying records and already laying the ground so that WHO investigators would find nothing when they arrived to discover the source of COVID-19.

Whatever method first caused it, we have it now; no going back. As far as avoiding the next pandemic, both issues of contagion mentioned, and more, should be guarded against regardless of where this current COVID emerged.
